Stat. tit. 36, § 36-4411","heading":"Nonapplication to certain policies","body":"Nothing in this article shall apply to or affect:\n\n1. any policy of workers' compensation insurance or any policy\n\nof liability insurance with or without supplementary expense\n\ncoverage therein; or\n\n2. any policy or contract of reinsurance; or\n\n3. any blanket or group policy of insurance except as provided\n\nin paragraph F, Section 4405 of this article; or\n\n4. life insurance, endowment or annuity contracts, or contracts\n\nsupplemental thereto, which contain only such provisions relating to\n\naccident and health insurance as (a) provide additional benefits in\n\ncase of death or dismemberment or loss of sight by accident, as (b)\n\noperate to safeguard such contracts against lapse, or to give a\n\nspecial surrender value or special benefit or an annuity in the\n\nevent that the insured or annuitant shall become totally and\n\npermanently disabled, as defined by the contract or supplemental\n\ncontract, or as (c) provide additional benefits providing\n\nacceleration of life or endowment or annuity benefits in advance of\n\nthe time they would otherwise be payable, as an indemnity for long-\n\nterm care which is certified or ordered by a physician, including\n\nbut not limited to, professional nursing care, medical care\n\nexpenses, custodial nursing care, nonnursing custodial care provided\n\nin a nursing home or at a residence of the insured or providing such\n\nacceleration upon the occurrence of a catastrophic disease or\n\ndiseases as designated and defined by the policy, provided, no life\n\ninsurance policy, except industrial life insurance policy and group\n\nlife insurance policy, shall be issued or delivered in this state\n\nwhich contains or provides accident and health coverage, except as\n\nprovided by the foregoing (a), (b) and (c). A rider providing\n\nadditional benefits as described in the foregoing (c) shall conform\n\nto the requirements of the Long-Term Care Insurance Act and\n\naccompanying regulations. The Insurance Commissioner shall have\n\nauthority to require appropriate reserves for the rider as is\n\nprovided for additional reserves in subparagraph (d) of paragraph 3\n\nof Section 1505 of this title. The Insurance Commissioner shall\n\nhave power to make reasonable rules and regulations concerning such\n\nprovisions, and contracts or supplemental contracts containing such\n\nprovisions, and the same shall not be issued or delivered to any\n\nperson in the state unless and until a copy of the form thereof has\n\nbeen filed with the Insurance Commissioner as required by law.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bca395bc227a4f37ef9653b12418e71c3f5b2830d2a6ca04a005b1894711d27f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-4410","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-4413"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
