Stat. tit. 36, § 36-4804","heading":"Policy limited – Liability - Excess premiums reimbursed","body":"No insurance company shall, knowingly, issue any fire insurance\n\npolicy upon property within this state for an amount which, with any\n\nexisting insurance thereon, exceeds the fair value of the property.\n\nIf buildings insured against loss by fire, and situated within this\n\nstate, are totally destroyed by fire, the company shall not be\n\nliable beyond the actual value of the insured property at the time\n\nof the loss or damage, and if it shall appear that the insured has\n\npaid premiums on an amount in excess of said actual value, the\n\nassured shall be reimbursed the proportionate excess of premiums\n\npaid on the difference between the amount named in the policy and\n\nsaid actual value, with interest at six percent (6%) per annum from\n\nthe date of issue.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"066800eb77646b8d91f8dd2bb81ccc5ff7d8b89ef3b88fab005994f3166c0dca","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-4803.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-4805"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
