Stat. tit. 36, § 36-6051","heading":"Free choice of practitioner and profession - Equal","body":"reimbursement.\n\nNotwithstanding any provision of any individual or group policy,\n\ncontract, plan or agreement of accident and/or health insurance or\n\nany provisions of a policy, contract, plan or agreement for hospital\n\nor medical service or indemnity, whenever such policy, contract,\n\nplan or agreement provides for reimbursement for any visual or\n\noptometric service which is within the lawful scope of practice of a\n\nduly licensed optometrist, the person entitled to benefits, or\n\nperson performing services, under such policy, contract, plan or\n\nagreement shall be entitled to reimbursement on an equal basis for\n\nsuch service, whether the said service is performed by a physician\n\nlicensed under 59 O.S.1961, Sections 481 through 518, inclusive, or\n\nby an optometrist licensed under 59 O.S.1961, Sections 581 through\n\n606, inclusive. Optometric services shall include eye and/or visual\n\nexamination or a correction of any vision or muscular anomaly and\n\nthe supplying of ophthalmic materials, including contact lenses and\n\nsubnormal vision aids.
