Stat. tit. 36, § 36-6060.10","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. \"Base period\" means the period of coverage pursuant to the\n\nissuance or renewal of a health benefit plan that is required to\n\nprovide benefits pursuant to the provisions of Section 6060.11 of\n\nthis title;\n\n2. \"Health benefit plan\" means any plan or arrangement as\n\ndefined in subsection C of Section 6060.4 of this title;\n\n3. \"Insurer\" means any entity providing an accident and health\n\ninsurance policy in this state including, but not limited to, a\n\nlicensed insurance company, a not-for-profit hospital service and\n\nmedical indemnity corporation, a fraternal benefit society, a\n\nmultiple employer welfare arrangement or any other entity subject to\n\nregulation by the Insurance Commissioner;\n\n4. \"Mental health and substance use disorder\" means any\n\ncondition or disorder involving a mental health condition or\n\nsubstance use disorder listed under any of the diagnostic categories\n\nin the mental disorders section of the most recent edition of the\n\nInternational Classification of Disease or in the mental disorders\n\nsection of the most recent version of the Diagnostic and Statistical\n\nManual of Mental Disorders; and\n\n5. \"Mental health and substance use disorder benefits\" means\n\nbenefits covering items or services for mental health conditions or\n\nsubstance use disorders, as defined under the terms of the health\n\nbenefit plan and in accordance with applicable federal and state\n\nlaw. Any condition defined by the plan as a mental health condition\n\nor not a mental health condition shall be consistent with the\n\ndefinition of that condition included in generally recognized\n\nindependent standards of current medical practice, including but not\n\nlimited to the most recent version of the Diagnostic and Statistical\n\nManual of Mental Disorders or the most recent edition of the\n\nInternational Classification of Disease.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5f647f5ae959a49b679f2485b750bb0a7bfe9eaac7268f77c7c3c139f17437ae","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-6060.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-6060.10a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
