No health benefit plan, including, but not limited to, the\n\nState and Education Employees Group Health Insurance Plan, that is\n\noffered, issued or renewed in the state on or after January 1, 2009,\n\nshall exclude otherwise allowable claims which occur in conjunction\n\nwith the arrest or pretrial detention of the policyholder prior to\n\nadjudication of guilt and sentencing to incarceration of the\n\npolicyholder. The reimbursement rate for out-of-network claims for\n\nthese services shall be set at the current Medicare rate.\n\nB.
