Any health benefit plan that is offered, issued, or\n\nrenewed on or after the effective date of this act shall provide\n\ncoverage for audiological services and hearing aids for children up\n\nto eighteen (18) years of age.\n\n2. Such coverage:\n\na. shall only apply to hearing aids that are prescribed,\n\nfilled and dispensed by a licensed audiologist, and\n\nb. may limit the hearing aid benefit payable for each\n\nhearing-impaired ear to every forty-eight (48) months;\n\nprovided, however, coverage may provide for up to four\n\nadditional ear molds per year for children up to two\n\n(2) years of age.\n\nB. Nothing in this section shall be construed to extend the\n\npractice or privileges of any health care provider beyond that\n\nprovided in the laws governing the practice and privileges of the\n\nprovider.\n\nC.
