Any health benefit plan, including the State and Education\n\nEmployees Group Health Insurance Plan, that is offered, issued or\n\nrenewed in this state on or after January 1, 2002, which provides\n\nmedical and surgical benefits, shall offer coverage for colorectal\n\ncancer examinations and laboratory tests for cancer for any\n\nnonsymptomatic covered individual, in accordance with standard,\n\naccepted published medical practice guidelines for colorectal cancer\n\nscreening, who is:\n\n1. At least fifty (50) years of age; or\n\n2. Less than fifty (50) years of age and at high risk for\n\ncolorectal cancer according to the standard, accepted published\n\nmedical practice guidelines.\n\nB. The coverage provided for by this section shall be subject\n\nto the same annual deductibles, co-payments or coinsurance limits as\n\nestablished for other covered benefits under the health plan.\n\nC. To minimize costs for nonsymptomatic screening, third-party\n\nreimbursement may be at the existing Medicaid rate which shall be\n\npayment in full.\n\nD. As used in this section, “health benefit plan” means any\n\nplan or arrangement as defined in subsection C of Section 6060.4 of\n\nthis title; provided, however, the provisions of this section shall\n\nnot apply to policies or certificates issued to individuals or to\n\ngroups with fifty (50) or fewer employees, or to plans offered under\n\nthe state Medicaid program.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"163182e526135c0ce097d5f3f49b55d1f9eea96cc6b57b79916bb65cfef9f65c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-6060.8","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-6060.8b"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
