The apprentice adjuster license is an optional license to\n\nfacilitate the experience, education, and training necessary to\n\nensure reasonable competency of the responsibilities and duties of\n\nan adjuster.\n\nB. An individual applying for a resident apprentice adjuster\n\nlicense shall make application to the Insurance Commissioner on the\n\nappropriate NAIC Uniform Individual Application or an application\n\napproved by the Commissioner in a format prescribed by the\n\nCommissioner and declare under penalty of suspension, revocation, or\n\nrefusal of the license that the statements made in the application\n\nare true, correct, and complete to the best of the knowledge and\n\nbelief of the individual. Before approving the application, the\n\nInsurance Commissioner shall find that the individual:\n\n1. Is at least eighteen (18) years of age;\n\n2. Is a resident of this state and has designated this state as\n\nthe home state of the individual;\n\n3. Has a business or mailing address in this state for\n\nacceptance of service of process;\n\n4. Has not committed any act that is a ground for probation,\n\nsuspension, revocation, or denial of licensure as set forth in\n\nSection 6220 of Title 36 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n5. Is trustworthy, reliable, and of good reputation, evidence\n\nof which may be determined by the Insurance Commissioner; and\n\n6. Has paid the fees set forth in Section 6212 of Title 36 of\n\nthe Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nC. The apprentice adjuster license shall be subject to the\n\nfollowing terms and conditions:\n\n1. Accompanying the apprentice application shall be an\n\nattestation, from a licensed adjuster with the same line or lines of\n\nauthority for which the apprentice has applied, certifying that the\n\napprentice will be subject to training, direction, and control by\n\nthe licensed adjuster and further certifying that the licensed\n\nadjuster assumes responsibility for the actions of the apprentice in\n\nthe apprentice’s capacity as an adjuster;\n\n2. The apprentice adjuster is authorized to adjust claims only\n\nin this state;\n\n3. The apprentice licensee is restricted to participation in\n\nthe investigation, settlement, and negotiation of claims subject to\n\nthe review and final determination of the claim by the supervising\n\nlicensed adjuster;\n\n4. Compensation of an apprentice adjuster shall be on a\n\nsalaried or hourly basis only;\n\n5. The apprentice adjuster shall not be required to take and\n\nsuccessfully complete the adjuster examination pursuant to Section\n\n6208 of Title 36 of the Oklahoma Statutes, to adjust claims as an\n\napprentice adjuster. However, at any time during the apprenticeship\n\nthe apprentice adjuster may choose to take the examination. If the\n\nindividual takes and successfully completes the adjuster exam, the\n\napprentice adjuster license shall automatically terminate and an\n\nadjuster license shall be issued to that individual;\n\n6. The apprentice adjuster license is for a period not to\n\nexceed six (6) months and is nonrenewable; and\n\n7. The licensee shall be subject to probation, suspension,\n\nrevocation, or refusal pursuant to Section 6220 of Title 36 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes.\n\nD.
