Triplicate copies of legal process against an insurer for\n\nwhom the Insurance Commissioner is agent shall be served upon the\n\nCommissioner at the principal offices of the Insurance Department.\n\nWhen legal process against an insurer for whom the Insurance\n\nCommissioner is agent is issued, it shall be served in triplicate by\n\nany manner now provided by law or in lieu thereof by mailing\n\ntriplicate copies of such legal process in the United States mails\n\nwith postage prepaid to the Insurance Commissioner with return\n\nreceipt requested, in which event service shall be sufficient upon\n\nshowing of proof of mailing to the Commissioner with the return\n\nreceipt attached. At the time of service the plaintiff shall pay to\n\nthe Insurance Commissioner Twenty Dollars ($20.00), taxable as costs\n\nin the action. Upon receiving service, the Insurance Commissioner\n\nshall promptly forward a copy thereof by mail with return receipt\n\nrequested to the person last so designated by the insurer to receive\n\nthe same.\n\nB.
