Any authorized agency may by written request require an\n\ninsurance company to release to the authorized agency any relevant\n\ninformation or evidence which the company may have in its\n\npossession, relating to a fire or theft loss under investigation by\n\nsuch agency. Relevant information includes, but is not limited to:\n\n1. Information with regard to the policy covering a fire or\n\ntheft loss under investigation and any application for such policy;\n\n2. Records of policy premium payments;\n\n3. The limits of coverage under the policy;\n\n4. History of previous claims made by the insured; and\n\n5. Any material or evidence relating to the investigation of\n\nthe loss, including statements of any person or proof of loss.\n\nB. When an insurance company has reason to believe that a fire\n\nloss in which it has an interest may be of other than accidental\n\ncause, the company shall in writing notify an authorized agency and\n\nprovide it with all information, documents and evidence relating to\n\nthe company's inquiry into the fire loss, for the purpose of having\n\nsuch fire loss investigated.\n\nC. An authorized agency provided with information pursuant to\n\nsubsections A or B of this section may release or provide such\n\ninformation to any other authorized agency.\n\nD. Any insurance company providing information to an authorized\n\nagency pursuant to this act shall have the right to request from the\n\nauthorized agency additional information relating to the fire or\n\ntheft loss. The authorized agency may release the requested\n\ninformation, but the release of the information is not mandatory.\n\nProvided that the insured shall be notified of any information\n\nprovided pursuant to this act.
