Unless otherwise approved by the Commissioner, a captive\n\ninsurance company formed under the provisions of this act shall\n\nmaintain its books, records, documents, accounts, vouchers and\n\nagreements in this state.\n\nA captive insurance company shall make its books, records,\n\ndocuments, accounts, vouchers and agreements available for\n\ninspection by the Commissioner at any time. A captive insurance\n\ncompany shall keep its books, records, documents, accounts, vouchers\n\nand agreements in such manner that its financial condition, affairs\n\nand operations can be readily ascertained and in such manner that\n\nthe Commissioner may readily verify its financial statements and\n\ndetermine its compliance with this act.\n\nB. Unless otherwise approved by the Commissioner, all original\n\nbooks, records, documents, accounts, vouchers and agreements of a\n\ncaptive insurance company formed under the provisions of this act\n\nmust be preserved and kept available in this state for the purpose\n\nof examination and inspection until the Commissioner approves the\n\ndestruction or other disposition of the books, records, documents,\n\naccounts, vouchers and agreements. If the Commissioner approves the\n\npreservation and keeping of the foregoing outside this state, the\n\ncaptive insurance company shall maintain a complete and true copy of\n\neach such original in the state.
