Stat. tit. 36, § 36-6530.1","heading":"Oklahoma Individual Health Insurance Market","body":"Stabilization Act – Legislative intent.\n\nThis act shall be known and may be cited as the \"Oklahoma\n\nIndividual Health Insurance Market Stabilization Act\". It is the\n\nintent of the Legislature to provide payments to health insurance\n\nplans with respect to claims for eligible individuals for the\n\npurpose of lowering premiums for health insurance coverage offered\n\nin the individual market. Market stabilization activities shall\n\ninclude establishment of a high-risk pool, reinsurance, hybrid\n\nprograms or any combination thereof. It is the further intent of\n\nthe Legislature to bestow upon the Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner\n\nthe authority to appoint a Board of Directors which shall create,\n\nimplement, oversee and monitor the high-risk pool, reinsurance or\n\nhybrid programs under provisions of this act. The Board of\n\nDirectors and the Oklahoma Secretary of Health and Human Services\n\nare authorized to apply for, accept and receive federal funds to\n\nimplement and sustain market stabilization programs. Preliminary\n\nplanning and analysis shall continue under the direction of the\n\nOklahoma Insurance Commissioner.
