The purpose of this act is to promote the public welfare by\n\ncreating a comprehensive legal framework within which travel\n\ninsurance may be sold in this state.\n\nB. The requirements of the act shall apply to travel insurance\n\ncovering any resident of this state that is sold, solicited,\n\nnegotiated or offered in this state and policies and certificates\n\nthat are delivered or issued for delivery in this state. It shall\n\nnot apply to cancellation fee waivers and travel assistance\n\nservices, except as expressly provided herein.\n\nC.
