Stat. tit. 36, § 36-6926","heading":"Provisions of laws not applicable to health maintenance","body":"organizations.\n\nA. Except as otherwise provided in the Health Maintenance\n\nOrganization Act of 2003 or unless expressly made applicable to\n\nhealth maintenance organizations, provisions of the insurance law\n\nand provisions of hospital or medical service corporation laws shall\n\nnot be applicable to a health maintenance organization granted a\n\ncertificate of authority under the provisions of this act. This\n\nprovision shall not apply to an insurer or hospital or medical\n\nservice corporation licensed and regulated pursuant to the insurance\n\nlaw or the hospital or medical service corporation laws of this\n\nstate except with respect to its health maintenance organization\n\nactivities authorized and regulated pursuant to this act.\n\nB. Solicitation of enrollees by a health maintenance\n\norganization granted a certificate of authority, or its\n\nrepresentatives, shall not be construed to violate any provision of\n\nlaw relating to solicitation or advertising by health professionals.\n\nC.
