Stat. tit. 36, § 36-7402","heading":"Evaluation of effect of limits on opioid prescriptions","body":"and claims and out-of-pocket costs - Report.\n\nThe Insurance Department shall evaluate the effect of the limits\n\non prescriptions for opioid drugs established by this act on the\n\nclaims paid by health insurance carriers and the out-of-pocket costs\n\nincluding copayments, coinsurance and deductibles paid by individual\n\nand group health insurance policyholders. On or before January 1,\n\n2021, the Insurance Department shall submit a report on the\n\nevaluation, along with any recommended policy and regulatory options\n\nthat will ensure costs for patients are not increased as a result of\n\nnew prescribing limitations on the amounts of opioid drugs, to the\n\nstanding committees of the Legislature having jurisdiction over\n\nhealth and human services matters and over insurance and financial\n\nservices matters.
