Stat. tit. 36, § 36-901.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n1. \"Act\" means the Oklahoma Insurance Rating Act;\n\n2. \"Commissioner\" means the Insurance Commissioner of the State\n\nof Oklahoma or his designee;\n\n3. \"Department\" means the Insurance Department of the State of\n\nOklahoma;\n\n4. \"Rate\" means the cost of insurance per exposure unit,\n\nwhether expressed as a single number or as a prospective loss cost\n\nand an adjustment to account for the treatment of expenses, profit\n\nand variations in loss experience, prior to any application of\n\nindividual risk variations based on loss or expense considerations,\n\nand does not include minimum premiums:\n\na. \"prospective loss cost\", as used in this paragraph,\n\nmeans that portion of a rate that does not include\n\nprovisions for expenses, other than loss adjustment\n\nexpenses, or profit, and are based on historical\n\naggregate losses and loss adjustment expenses adjusted\n\nthrough development to their ultimate value and\n\nprojected through trending to a future point in time,\n\nand\n\nb. \"expenses\", as used in this paragraph, means that\n\nportion of a rate attributable to acquisition, field\n\nsupervision, collection expenses, general expenses,\n\ntaxes, licenses, and fees; and\n\n5. \"Rating organization, advisory organization or statistical\n\norganization\" means any two or more insurers acting in cooperation\n\nor in concert for the purpose of making rates, rating plans or\n\nrating systems.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"55aa04bb18255cca6435f3005c4c158501a22f1828fc9ec01b9f14ab6780c60e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-901.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-901.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
