Stat. tit. 36, § 36-956","heading":"Adverse action based upon credit information -","body":"Notification to consumer.\n\nIf an insurer takes an adverse action based upon credit\n\ninformation, the insurer shall:\n\n1. Provide notification to the consumer that an adverse action\n\nhas been taken, in accordance with the requirements of the federal\n\nFair Credit Reporting Act, 15 USC 1681m(a); and\n\n2. Provide notification to the consumer explaining the reason\n\nfor the adverse action. The reasons must be provided in\n\nsufficiently clear and specific language so that a person can\n\nidentify the basis for the insurer’s decision to take an adverse\n\naction. Such notification shall include a description of up to four\n\nfactors that were the primary influences of the adverse action. The\n\nuse of generalized terms such as “poor credit history”, “poor credit\n\nrating”, or “poor insurance score” does not meet the explanation\n\nrequirements of this subsection.
