Stat. tit. 38, § 38-18","heading":"Licensed drivers list - Time period - Volunteers - Name and","body":"address changes.\n\nFor the purpose of ascertaining names of all persons qualified\n\nfor jury service:\n\n1. The Commissioner of Public Safety shall cause to be provided\n\nto the Administrative Director of the Courts, not later than the\n\nfirst day of October of each year, a list by county of residence of\n\npersons who reside in the county, who are eighteen (18) years of age\n\nor older, and who are holders of a current driver license or a\n\ncurrent identification license issued by the Department of Public\n\nSafety. The list shall contain the name, date of birth, and mailing\n\naddress of each person listed. The list may be maintained in\n\nelectronic format and shall be used exclusively for jury selection\n\npurposes. The Administrative Director of the Courts and the court\n\nclerk shall not copy or permit any person to copy the list or any\n\nportion thereof for purposes other than jury selection;\n\n2. All names and addresses of the persons so listed under the\n\nprovisions of paragraph 1 of this section shall be used thereafter\n\nin the selection of juries; provided, however, no jury panel shall\n\nbe quashed because of a duplication of names;\n\n3. The list will be furnished by the Administrative Director of\n\nthe Courts to the district courts according to the period of time\n\nand in the format prescribed by the Administrative Director of the\n\nCourts, and the district courts may maintain and use the list in\n\nelectronic format as a necessary part of an approved electronic jury\n\nmanagement system implemented pursuant to Section 13 of this act;\n\n4. The provisions of this section shall not be construed to\n\npreclude persons otherwise qualified to serve as jurors from\n\nvolunteering for jury service in a manner prescribed by the\n\nAdministrative Director of the Courts; and\n\n5. The Administrative Director of the Courts, the trial court\n\nadministrator or the court clerk may accept changes or corrections\n\nin a mailing address or county of residence of a qualified juror\n\nfrom such qualified juror or from an electronic address verification\n\nprocess implemented pursuant to Section 13 of this act.
