In each county, the judges of the courts of record shall,\n\nmore than ten (10) days prior to each term of court, determine\n\napproximately the number of jurors that are reasonably necessary for\n\njury service in all the courts of record of the county for each jury\n\nperiod during the time the courts may hold during the term and shall\n\nthereupon order the number of jurors from the Administrative\n\nDirector of the Courts for each jury period, said jury to be known\n\nas the general panel of jurors for service in all the courts of such\n\ncounty for the respective weeks for which they are designated to\n\nserve. A majority of the judges are authorized to act in carrying\n\nout the provisions of this law; provided, however, there is only one\n\njudge in the county or where the district judge so designates in\n\nwriting the judge of the court of record using the jury is\n\nauthorized to act in carrying out the provisions of this law or he\n\nor she may increase or diminish the number of jurors to be selected\n\nfor any jury period, and shall order said jurors drawn for as many\n\nweeks in advance of service as they or he or she deem proper. The\n\ngeneral panel shall report for duty to the presiding judge or chief\n\njudge or other district court judge acting as his or her designee\n\nor, if none, to the judge of the court of record using the jury, and\n\nsaid judge, for such time as he or she so acts, shall organize said\n\njuries and have immediate supervision and control of them.\n\nB.
