Any individual who claims to be entitled to any part of a\n\npari-mutuel pool conducted by an organization licensee and who fails\n\nto receive the money due may file the following with the\n\norganization licensee within sixty (60) days after the wager has\n\nbeen made:\n\n1. A verified claim on a form prescribed and furnished by the\n\nOklahoma Horse Racing Commission setting forth such information as\n\nmay be necessary to identify the particular pool and the amount\n\nclaimed therefrom; and\n\n2. A substantial portion of the pari-mutuel ticket upon which\n\nthe claim is based, sufficient to identify the particular racetrack,\n\nrace, and horse involved, the amount wagered, and whether the ticket\n\nwas a win, place, or show ticket.\n\nB. Upon proper application by an individual or an organization\n\nlicensee the Commission shall hear any disputed claim and consider\n\nthe proof offered in its support. Unless the claimant\n\nsatisfactorily establishes the right to participate in the pool, the\n\nclaim shall be rejected. If the claim is allowed, the organization\n\nlicensee shall pay the amount of the claim to the claimant upon\n\norder of the Commission.\n\nC. All unclaimed ticket proceeds shall be remitted by the\n\norganization licensee to the Commission for deposit in the Oklahoma\n\nBreeding Development Fund Special Account as follows:\n\n1. The payment for unclaimed ticket proceeds shall be\n\naccompanied by a completed form as prescribed by the Commission; and\n\n2. The organization licensee shall remit calendar quarterly\n\npayments of all unclaimed ticket proceeds which have been in the\n\norganization licensee's possession for no fewer than sixty (60) days\n\nafter the wager has been made, regardless of whether the wager was\n\nfrom live racing or simulcasting or during or between live race\n\nmeetings.","path":["OK Code","Title 3A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os3A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5bda459fcac0ffbece3eba8ece6866a45d2f9b6f263acdc3da5dda33821f6739","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3a-3a-208","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3a-3a-208.10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
