Except as provided in subsection B of this section, the\n\nOklahoma Horse Racing Commission is hereby authorized to determine\n\nby rule which drugs and medications, if any, may be administered to\n\na horse prior to or during a horse race and to determine by rule the\n\nconditions under which such drugs and medications may be used or\n\nadministered.\n\nB. All horses participating in a horse race may be administered\n\nFurosemide prior to a horse race as authorized by the rules of the\n\nOklahoma Horse Racing Commission.\n\nC. The administration of any drug or medication to a horse\n\nprior to or during a horse race which is not permitted by rule of\n\nthe Commission is prohibited.\n\nD. Any person who violates the provisions of this section or\n\nwho knowingly enters in a race a horse to which any drug or\n\nmedication has been administered in violation of this section shall\n\nbe guilty, upon conviction, of a Class D1 felony offense and shall\n\nbe fined not more than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), or be\n\nimprisoned as provided for in subsections B through F of Section 20N\n\nof Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes, or by both said fine and\n\nimprisonment.
