Sections 2 through 28 of this act shall be known and may be\n\ncited as the \"Oklahoma Charity Games Act\".\n\nB. For the protection of charitable organizations and the\n\ngeneral public seeking to assist such organizations through\n\nparticipation in certain charity organized activities, the\n\nLegislature declares that it is necessary to restrict the conducting\n\nof certain games of chance by enacting an Oklahoma Charity Games\n\nAct. Such restrictions are for the purpose of authorizing the\n\nconducting of certain games of chance to certain organizations which\n\nfunction exclusively for charitable purposes in conformance with\n\nstate and federal laws regulating such organizations.\n\nThe Legislature finds that it is in the interest of the health,\n\nwelfare, and safety of the citizens of the State of Oklahoma that\n\ngames of chance offered to the public by other than charitable\n\norganizations which are commonly referred to as \"commercial bingo\"\n\nor \"commercial operations\" are hereby prohibited in this state.\n\nThe Legislature further finds that offering to the public\n\ncertain types of games of chance including but not limited to games\n\ncommonly referred to as bingo games and other types of instant\n\nwinner games by other than a licensed organization is declared to be\n\na \"commercial operation\" and is in violation of the law.","path":["OK Code","Title 3A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os3A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"39130dd23d793ecfdbe4fa5c5d010cea4ff6500aa2324b0e0f0e4be43e3fec2d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3a-3a-301","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3a-3a-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
