The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry\n\nshall issue an animal shelter or commercial pet breeder license to\n\neach applicant who:\n\n1. Meets the requirements of the Commercial Pet Breeders and\n\nAnimal Shelter Licensing Act;\n\n2. Applies to the Department on the form prescribed by the\n\nDepartment; and\n\n3. Pays the required fee.\n\nB. An animal shelter operator or commercial pet breeder shall\n\nobtain a separate license for each facility where animals are kept.\n\nA separate license shall be issued for each facility, regardless of\n\nthe number of animals at each facility.\n\nC. If a single facility is shared by more than one person, each\n\nperson shall be required to become individually licensed if:\n\n1. For commercial pet breeders, eleven or more intact females\n\nused for breeding are housed at the facility; or\n\n2. For animal shelter operators, ten or more cats and dogs are\n\nmaintained at the facility.\n\nD. A license issued under the Commercial Pet Breeders and\n\nAnimal Shelter Licensing Act is valid until July 1 for a commercial\n\npet breeder and January 1 for an animal shelter operator in each\n\ncalendar year and is nontransferable.\n\nE.
