Stat. tit. 40, § 40-1-102","heading":"Purpose of Act","body":"(1) Whoever makes a false statement or representation knowing\n\nit to be false or knowingly fails to disclose a material fact, to\n\nobtain or increase any benefit or other payment under this act or\n\nunder the unemployment compensation law of any state or of the\n\nfederal government, either for himself or for any other person,\n\nshall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of\n\nnot less than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) nor more than Five Hundred\n\nDollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment for not longer than ninety\n\n(90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; and each such\n\nfalse statement or representation or failure to disclose a material\n\nfact shall constitute a separate offense for each week of benefits.\n\n(2) Upon conviction sentences may be suspended or upon a plea\n\nof guilty judgment and sentencing may be deferred only upon the\n\ncondition of full restitution to the Commission of all benefits so\n\nobtained or the excess of any benefits so increased.","path":["OK Code","Title 40"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os40.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"872c49abc8367e43fb0b6416ef39f1880b7d2028f2071e262b53bb7474e0f356","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-40-40-1-101","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-40-40-1-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
