The Commissioner of Labor may enter into reciprocal\n\nagreements with the Labor Department or corresponding agency of\n\nanother state, or with the person, board, officer, or commission\n\nauthorized to act on behalf of that department or agency having\n\njurisdiction for the collection of wages unlawfully withheld from\n\nemployees by out-of-state employers and for the collection of other\n\ndebts lawfully owed to the State Department of Labor.\n\nB. The Commissioner of Labor shall, upon the written request of\n\nthe Department of Labor or other corresponding agency of any other\n\nstate or of any person, board, officer or commission of such state\n\nauthorized to act for and on behalf of such labor department or\n\ncorresponding agency, maintain actions in the courts of this state\n\nupon assigned claims for wages, judgments and demands arising in\n\nsuch other state in the same manner and to the same extent that such\n\nactions by the Commissioner of Labor are authorized when arising in\n\nthis state; provided, however, that such actions may be commenced\n\nand maintained only in those cases where such other state by\n\nappropriate legislation or by reciprocal agreement extends a like\n\ncomity to cases arising in the state.","path":["OK Code","Title 40"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os40.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"32aa33366f643eeeb64a2c721f886ab1f32d6f755b1af3bf25e1abb23d040613","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-40-40-1-302","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-40-40-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
