Stat. tit. 40, § 40-141.5","heading":"Maximum allowable working pressure - Determination -","body":"Exemptions - Special Permit.\n\nA. The maximum allowable working pressure of a boiler stamped\n\nwith the AmericanSociety of Mechanical Engineers Code symbol or a\n\npressure vessel stamped with the American Society of Mechanical\n\nEngineers or American Petroleum Institute - American Society of\n\nMechanical Engineers Code symbol shall be determined by the\n\napplicable sections of the code under which it was constructed and\n\nstamped.\n\nB. The maximum allowable working pressure of a boiler or\n\npressure vessel which is not stamped and does not carry the ASME or\n\nthe API-ASME Code symbol shall be computed in accordance with\n\nstandard engineering practice using a factor of safety established\n\nby rules adopted by the Commissioner of Labor.\n\nC. This act shall not be construed as in any way preventing the\n\nuse, sale or reinstallation of a boiler or pressure vessel referred\n\nto in subsection B of this section, provided the Commissioner of\n\nLabor gives a specific ruling that such boiler or pressure vessel\n\nconforms to its rules and regulations, and provided further, upon\n\ninspection it has been found to be in safe condition.\n\nD.
