Stat. tit. 40, § 40-141.7","heading":"Bureau of boiler inspection - Establishment - Personnel","body":"- Powers and duties.\n\nThere is hereby established a bureau of boiler inspection in the\n\nDepartment of Labor under the direction of the chief boiler\n\ninspector, who shall have at the time of appointment a valid\n\ncommission issued in accordance with the constitution and bylaws of\n\nthe National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors and\n\nshall be responsible to the Commissioner of Labor or his duly\n\nauthorized representative for the supervision, inspection and\n\ntesting of boilers and pressure vessels throughout the state.\n\nB. The bureau of boiler inspection shall be furnished with\n\nsufficient personnel, deputy inspectors and clerical aides to\n\nperform the assigned duties with the limits prescribed by the\n\nCommissioner of Labor.\n\nC. Powers. The chief boiler inspector and deputy inspectors,\n\nunder the supervision of the Commissioner of Labor, shall:\n\n1. Take action necessary for the enforcement of this act and\n\nthese rules and regulations;\n\n2. Keep a complete record of the name and address of the owner\n\nor user, location, type, dimensions, maximum allowable working\n\npressure, age, dates of installation and last-recorded inspection of\n\nall boilers and pressure vessels to which this act applies;\n\n3. Make available upon request copies of the rules and\n\nregulations promulgated by the Department;\n\n4. Issue, suspend or revoke for cause, certificates of\n\noperation as provided for in Section 14 of this act; and\n\n5.
