Stat. tit. 40, § 40-142.12","heading":"Work of technician by noncertified person","body":"After September 1, 1991, it shall be unlawful for any person to\n\nperform the work or offer, by advertisement or otherwise, to perform\n\nthe work of an alternative fuels equipment technician until such\n\nperson has qualified and is certified as an alternative fuels\n\nequipment technician. Beginning September 1, 1995, it shall be\n\nunlawful for any person to perform work or offer, by advertisement\n\nor otherwise, to perform the work of an alternative fuels\n\ncompression technician until such person has qualified and is\n\ncertified as an alternative fuels compression technician. Beginning\n\nNovember 1, 1998, it shall be unlawful for any person to perform the\n\nwork or offer, by advertisement or otherwise, to perform the work of\n\nan electric vehicle technician until such person has qualified and\n\nis certified as an electric vehicle technician. Electric vehicles\n\nthat have a manufacturer's warranty shall be serviced by an\n\nauthorized new car dealer. Any vehicle manufacturer's training\n\ncenter located in the state, which offers alternative fuel and\n\nelectric vehicle courses meeting new car manufacturing requirements,\n\nshall be exempted from this act. Provided, nothing in the\n\nAlternative Fuels Technician Certification Act shall be construed to\n\nprohibit a noncertified person from converting the engine of a farm\n\ntractor, as defined in Section 1-118 of Title 47 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes, to an engine fueled by alternative fuels, as long as such\n\nfarm tractor is not operated on the roads and highways of this\n\nstate.","path":["OK Code","Title 40"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os40.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f345d8543f83c047b101ce3c6c7892ac4ac6f10395a6564d4a878c7962fc49a1","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-40-40-142.11","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-40-40-142.13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
