Stat. tit. 40, § 40-142.8","heading":"Certificate - Qualifications - Transfer or loan of","body":"certificate - Standards for storage and handling of liquefied\n\npetroleum gases and for electric vehicle charge stations.\n\nA. The Department of Labor shall issue a certificate as an\n\nalternative fuels equipment technician to any person who:\n\n1. Has been licensed by the Oklahoma Liquefied Petroleum Gas\n\nBoard and has successfully passed the appropriate examination as\n\nprovided in the Alternative Fuels Technician Certification Act or\n\nhas been certified by the Committee as either having successfully\n\npassed the appropriate examination or having a valid license or\n\ncertificate issued by another governmental entity with licensing or\n\ncertification requirements similar to those provided in the\n\nAlternative Fuels Technician Certification Act; and\n\n2. Has paid the certification fee and otherwise complied with\n\nthe provisions of the Alternative Fuels Technician Certification\n\nAct.\n\nB. The Department of Labor shall issue a certificate as an\n\nalternative fuels compression technician to any person who:\n\n1. Has successfully passed the appropriate examination as\n\nprovided in the Alternative Fuels Technician Certification Act or\n\nhas been certified by the Committee as having a valid license or\n\ncertificate issued by another governmental entity with licensing or\n\ncertification requirements similar to those provided in the\n\nAlternative Fuels Technician Certification Act; and\n\n2. Has paid the certification fee and otherwise complied with\n\nthe provisions of the Alternative Fuels Technician Certification\n\nAct.\n\nC. The Department of Labor shall issue a certificate as an\n\nelectric vehicle technician to any person who:\n\n1. Has been certified by the Committee as either having\n\nsuccessfully passed the appropriate examination or having a valid\n\nlicense or certificate issued by another governmental entity with\n\nlicensing or certification requirements similar to those provided in\n\nthe Alternative Fuels Technician Certification Act; and\n\n2. Has paid the certification fee and otherwise complied with\n\nthe provisions of the Alternative Fuels Technician Certification\n\nAct.\n\nD. In the case of a company, partnership or corporation engaged\n\nin the business of installing, servicing, repairing, modifying or\n\nrenovating equipment used in the conversion of engines to engines\n\nfueled by alternative fuels, a separate certificate shall be issued\n\nby the Department of Labor to that individual company, partnership\n\nor corporation. This certificate is for the express purpose of\n\nrecognizing that the company, partnership or corporation is an\n\nauthorized alternative fuels conversion business and employs state-\n\ncertified alternative fuels equipment technicians. Any violations\n\nby a certified alternative fuels equipment technician shall be\n\ndeemed a violation by the certified company, partnership or\n\ncorporation employing such certified technician. A company,\n\npartnership or corporation engaged in the business of installing,\n\nservicing, repairing, modifying or renovating equipment used in the\n\nconversion of engines to engines fueled by alternative fuels shall\n\nprovide the Department of Labor with proof of liability insurance\n\nwith limits of not less than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00)\n\ngeneral liability.\n\nE. In the case of a company, partnership or corporation engaged\n\nin the business of installing, servicing, repairing, modifying or\n\nrenovating fill stations, a separate certificate shall be issued by\n\nthe Department of Labor to that individual company, partnership or\n\ncorporation. This certificate is for the express purpose of\n\nrecognizing that the company, partnership or corporation is an\n\nauthorized fill-station installation business and employs state-\n\ncertified alternative fuels compression technicians or electric\n\nvehicle technicians. Any violations by a certified alternative\n\nfuels compression technician or electric vehicle technician shall be\nor the express purpose of\n\nrecognizing that the company, partnership or corporation is an\n\nauthorized fill-station installation business and employs state-\n\ncertified alternative fuels compression technicians or electric\n\nvehicle technicians. Any violations by a certified alternative\n\nfuels compression technician or electric vehicle technician shall be\n\ndeemed a violation by the certified company, partnership or\n\ncorporation employing such certified technician. A company,\n\npartnership or corporation engaged in the business of installing,\n\nservicing, repairing, modifying or renovating fill stations shall\n\nprovide the Department of Labor with proof of liability insurance\n\nwith limits of not less than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00)\n\ngeneral liability.\n\nF. In conjunction with subsection A of this section, the\n\nDepartment of Labor shall issue an Alternative Fuels Equipment\n\nInstallation Certification to any public entity or private company,\n\npartnership or corporation that operates commercial, private or\n\npublic fleets of vehicles and employs ten or more auto service\n\ntechnicians per location. The certification shall be based on the\n\nability of the applicant to provide their own alternative fuels\n\nequipment technician training program which shall be certified by\n\nthe Department of Labor, Committee of Alternative Fuels Technician\n\nExaminers. This subsection shall not apply to allow certification\n\nof any alternative fuels compression technician training programs.\n\nG. All alternative fuels equipment technician certificates,\n\nalternative fuels compression technician certificates, and electric\n\nvehicle technician certificates shall be nontransferable and it\n\nshall be unlawful for any person certified pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of the Alternative Fuels Technician Certification Act to\n\nloan or allow the use of such certificate by any other person,\n\nexcept as specifically provided in the Alternative Fuels Technician\n\nCertification Act.\n\nH. The standards for the storage and handling of liquefied\n\npetroleum gases in the codes adopted by the Oklahoma Uniform\n\nBuilding Code Commission pursuant to the Oklahoma Uniform Building\n\nCode Act shall be the accepted codes and standards for this state.\n\nThe standards for the installation of compressed natural gas\n\nvehicular fuel systems adopted by the National Fire Protection\n\nAssociation and published in its Pamphlet No. 52 shall be the\n\naccepted standards for this state. The accepted standards for this\n\nstate for electric vehicle charge stations shall be the codes\n\nadopted by the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission. The\n\nstandards for the design, construction, installation, repair, use\n\nand inspection of alternative fuel fueling stations, including\n\nresidential fueling appliances and facilities, in the codes adopted\n\nby the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission pursuant to the\n\nOklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission Act shall be the accepted\n\ncodes and standards for this state. The Commissioner of Labor is\n\nauthorized, and it shall be the duty of the Commissioner to adopt\n\nand promulgate such rules or specifications relating to safety in\n\nthe manufacture, assembly, sale, installation and use of vehicular\n\nalternative fuel systems. The Commissioner of Labor is further\n\nauthorized to modify or amend such rules or specifications as he or\n\nshe deems reasonable and necessary.\n\nI. The Department of Labor may issue an alternative fuels\n\ntrainee certificate to any person who submits a trainee application\n\nto the Department within fifteen (15) business days of being hired\n\nby a licensed alternative fuels conversion company. An alternative\n\nfuels trainee shall be employed by a licensed alternative fuels\n\nconversion company located in Oklahoma. A trainee shall work under\n\nthe direct supervision of a licensed alternative fuels equipment\n\ntechnician. There shall be no more than two alternative fuels\non\n\nto the Department within fifteen (15) business days of being hired\n\nby a licensed alternative fuels conversion company. An alternative\n\nfuels trainee shall be employed by a licensed alternative fuels\n\nconversion company located in Oklahoma. A trainee shall work under\n\nthe direct supervision of a licensed alternative fuels equipment\n\ntechnician. There shall be no more than two alternative fuels\n\ntrainees per licensed alternative fuels equipment technician at any\n\nlicensed Oklahoma alternative fuels conversion company at any one\n\ntime. An individual that holds a trainee license may engage in any\n\nlicensed category pursuant to the Alternative Fuels Technician\n\nCertification Act while under the direct supervision of an\n\nindividual holding the appropriate license in the category of\n\nactivity being performed.\n\nJ. The Department of Labor may issue an alternative fuels\n\ncompression trainee certificate to any person who submits a trainee\n\napplication to the Department within fifteen (15) business days of\n\nbeing hired by a licensed alternative fuels fill-station\n\ninstallation business. An alternative fuels compression trainee\n\nshall be employed by a licensed alternative fuels fill-station\n\ninstallation business located in Oklahoma. A trainee shall work\n\nunder the direct supervision of a licensed alternative fuels\n\ncompression technician. There shall be no more than two alternative\n\nfuels compression trainees per licensed alternative fuels\n\ncompression technician at any licensed Oklahoma alternative fuels\n\nfill-station installation business or the job site or sites of any\n\nsuch alternative fuels fill-station installation business at any one\n\ntime.
