Stat. tit. 40, § 40-169","heading":"Hiring armed guards without permit a felony","body":"Any person who shall hire, aid, abet or assist in hiring through\n\nprivate detective agencies or otherwise, persons to guard with arms\n\nor deadly weapons of any kind, other persons or property, or any\n\nperson who shall come into this state armed with deadly weapons of\n\nany kind for any such purpose, without a permit, in writing, from\n\nthe Governor, shall be guilty of a Class D1 felony offense, and on\n\nconviction thereof shall be imprisoned as provided for in\n\nsubsections B through F of Section 20N of Title 21 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes. Provided, that nothing herein contained shall be\n\nconstrued to interfere with the right of any person, corporations,\n\nsociety, association or organization in guarding and protecting\n\ntheir property as provided by law; but this section shall be\n\nconstrued only to apply in cases where workmen are brought into the\n\nstate or induced to go from one place to another in the state by any\n\nfalse pretenses, false advertising, or deceptive representation, or\n\nbrought into the state under arms or removed from one place to\n\nanother in the state under arms.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 3767.
