Stat. tit. 40, § 40-176","heading":"Penalty for neglect to place temporary floors","body":"Any person engaged in and having supervision and charge of the\n\nbuilding, erection, or construction of any block, building or\n\nstructure who shall neglect or refuse to place or have placed upon\n\nthe joists of each and every story of such block, building or\n\nstructure as soon as the joists are in position, counter floors of\n\nsuch quality and strength as to render perfectly safe the going to\n\nand fro thereon of all mechanics, laborers, and other persons\n\nengaged upon the work of construction or in supervising the same or\n\nin the building or placing of materials therefor, shall be deemed\n\nguilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof in any court of\n\ncompetent jurisdiction shall be fined in any sum not less than\n\nTwenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars\n\n($200.00), and each and every day that such person, contractor,\n\nagent, factor or architect shall neglect or refuse to have such\n\nfloors so placed as aforesaid, after written notice by the building\n\ninspector or from any person whose life or personal safety may be\n\nendangered by such neglect or refusal shall be held and considered a\n\nseparate offense, severally liable to the penalties aforesaid.","path":["OK Code","Title 40"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os40.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b1fa89b1f4a85d95e2958b9641f6f698e5a6b3d3914cfeae932e0cc64277f357","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-40-40-175","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-40-40-177"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
