Stat. tit. 40, § 40-197.10","heading":"Assignment of wage claim","body":"At the request of any employee who has been found by the\n\nCommissioner to have been paid wages less than those to which such\n\nemployee is entitled, under or by virtue of this act, the\n\nCommissioner shall take an assignment of such wage claim in trust\n\nfor the assigning employee and shall bring legal action necessary to\n\ncollect such claim; and if the Commissioner prevails in such action\n\nthe employer shall be liable to pay the Department of Labor double\n\nthe full amount of such wages, and the court costs. The\n\nCommissioner shall not be required to pay a filing fee in connection\n\nwith any such action.
