Stat. tit. 40, § 40-2-108","heading":"Benefits - Approved training","body":"BENEFITS - APPROVED TRAINING.\n\nA. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, no otherwise\n\neligible individual shall be denied benefits for any week because\n\nthe individual is in training with the approval of the Oklahoma\n\nEmployment Security Commission, nor shall such individual be denied\n\nbenefits with respect to any week in which the individual is in\n\ntraining with the approval of the Commission by reason of the\n\napplication of provisions of law relating to availability for work,\n\nactive search for work, failure to apply for, or a refusal to\n\naccept, suitable work. Such approval for training shall be\n\ndetermined by consideration of all the following factors:\n\n1. The individual's skills are obsolete or such that there are\n\nminimal opportunities for employment;\n\n2. Training is for an occupation for which there is a\n\nsubstantial and recurring demand; and\n\n3. The individual possesses aptitudes or skills which can be\n\nsupplemented by retraining within a reasonable time.\n\nB. Any individual in training approved by the Commission will\n\nproduce satisfactory evidence of continued attendance and\n\nsatisfactory progress, when requested by the Commission.
