Stat. tit. 40, § 40-2-409","heading":"Conditions exempting otherwise suitable work","body":"CONDITIONS EXEMPTING OTHERWISE SUITABLE WORK. Notwithstanding\n\nany other provisions of this act, no work shall be deemed suitable\n\nand benefits shall not be denied under this act to any otherwise\n\neligible individual for refusing to accept new work under any of the\n\nfollowing conditions:\n\n(1) If the position offered is vacant due directly to a strike,\n\nlockout or other labor dispute;\n\n(2) If the wages, hours, or other conditions of the work\n\noffered are substantially less favorable to the individual than\n\nthose prevailing for similar work in the locality;\n\n(3) If as a condition of being employed the individual would be\n\nrequired to join a company union or to resign from or refrain from\n\njoining any bona fide labor organization;\n\n(4) If the new work involved a substantial degree of risk to\n\nhis health, safety or morals.","path":["OK Code","Title 40"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os40.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4bb101bf6d82a91144307aa2e545b2295f9a6abc62edb029d73fcdd52d3dffaf","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-40-40-2-408","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-40-40-2-410"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
