Each member shall hold office for a term of six\n\n(6) years, except that (1) any member appointed to fill a vacancy\n\noccurring prior to the expiration of the term for which his\n\npredecessor was appointed shall be appointed for the remainder of\n\nsuch term; and (2) the terms of office of the members first taking\n\noffice after the date of enactment of this act shall expire, as\n\ndesignated by the Governor at the time of appointment, two at the\n\nend of two (2) years, one a representative of employers, and one a\n\nrepresentative of employees; two at the end of four (4) years, one a\n\nrepresentative of employers, one a representative of employees; and\n\none, the representative of the public, at the end of six (6) years\n\nafter the date of enactment of this act.
