Pursuant to the authority granted to the Commissioner of\n\nLabor under Section 460 of Title 40 of the Oklahoma Statutes to\n\npromulgate rules for the safe installation, repair, maintenance,\n\nuse, operation, and inspection of all amusement rides necessary for\n\nthe protection of the general public using amusement rides, the\n\nCommissioner of Labor shall promulgate rules regarding the use of\n\namusement rides by riders.\n\nB. Rules promulgated pursuant to subsection A of this section\n\nshall include the following language:\n\n1. A rider shall:\n\na. obey the reasonable safety rules posted in accordance\n\nwith law and oral instructions for an amusement ride\n\nissued by the owner or the employee of the owner,\n\nunless:\n\n(1) the safety rules are contrary to law or rules, or\n\n(2) the oral instructions are contrary to law or\n\nrules or the safety rules, and\n\nb. refrain from acting in any manner that may cause or\n\ncontribute to injuring the rider or others, including:\n\n(1) exceeding the limits of ability of the rider,\n\n(2) interfering with safe operation of the amusement\n\nride,\n\n(3) not engaging any safety devices that are\n\nprovided,\n\n(4) disconnecting or disabling a safety device except\n\nat the express instruction of the ride operator,\n\n(5) altering or enhancing the intended speed, course,\n\nor direction of an amusement ride,\n\n(6) using the controls of an amusement ride designed\n\nsolely to be operated by the ride operator,\n\n(7) extending arms and legs beyond the carrier or\n\nseating area except at the express direction of\n\nthe ride operator,\n\n(8) throwing, dropping, or expelling an object from\n\nor toward an amusement ride except as permitted\n\nby the ride operator,\n\n(9) getting on or off an amusement ride except at the\n\ndesignated time and area, if any, at the\n\ndirection of the ride operator or in an\n\nemergency, and\n\n(10) not reasonably controlling the speed or direction\n\nof the person of the rider or an amusement ride\n\nthat requires the rider to control or direct the\n\nperson of the rider or a device;\n\n2. A rider may not get on or attempt to get on an amusement\n\nride unless the rider or the parent or guardian of the rider\n\nreasonably determines that the rider:\n\na. has sufficient knowledge to use, get on, and get off\n\nthe amusement ride safely without instruction or has\n\nrequested and received before getting on the ride\n\nsufficient information to get on, use, and get off\n\nsafely,\n\nb. has located, reviewed, and understood any signs in the\n\nvicinity of the ride and has satisfied any posted\n\nheight, medical, or other restrictions,\n\nc. knows the range and limits of the ability of the rider\n\nand knows the requirements of the amusement ride will\n\nnot exceed those limits,\n\nd. is not under the influence of alcohol or any drug that\n\naffects the ability of the rider to safely use the\n\namusement ride or obey the posted rules or oral\n\ninstructions, and\n\ne. is authorized by the amusement ride owner or the\n\nauthorized employee of the amusement ride owner to get\n\non the amusement ride; and\n\n3.
