The Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act\n\nshall not be construed as requiring or encouraging employers to\n\nconduct drug or alcohol testing.\n\nB. Except as provided in subsection C of this section,\n\nemployers who choose to conduct drug or alcohol testing of job\n\napplicants or persons employed in this state shall be governed by\n\nthe provisions of this act and the rules promulgated pursuant\n\nthereto.\n\nC. Drug or alcohol testing required by and conducted pursuant\n\nto federal law or regulation shall be exempt from the provisions of\n\nthe Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act and the\n\nrules promulgated pursuant thereto.\n\nD.
