The Oklahoma Workforce Commission shall consist of nine (9)\n\nmembers. The nine members shall be private sector leaders\n\nconducting business in this state:\n\n1. Three members to be appointed by the President Pro Tempore\n\nof the Senate;\n\n2. Three members to be appointed by the Speaker of the House of\n\nRepresentatives; and\n\n3. Three members to be appointed by the Governor, one of whom\n\nshall be designated by the Governor to serve as chair of the\n\nCommission.\n\nB. The members of the Commission shall be qualified electors of\n\nthis state and shall not be employed by any government entity or\n\nhave been employed by a government entity within the preceding one-\n\nyear period.\n\nC. For the initial appointments of Commissioners, each\n\nappointing authority shall make one appointment for a one-year term,\n\none appointment for a two-year term, and one appointment for a\n\nthree-year term. Thereafter, the terms of the Commissioners shall\n\nbe for three (3) years. Commissioners may be appointed to\n\nsubsequent terms without limit as to number.\n\nD. Vacancies on the Commission shall be filled for the\n\nunexpired term of office in the same manner as the original\n\nappointment. The appointed members shall serve at the pleasure of\n\nthe appointing authorities.\n\nE. In addition to the chair appointed by the Governor, the\n\nCommission may establish and elect additional officers by a majority\n\nvote of the Commissioners. The chair shall preside over meetings of\n\nthe Commission and officers shall perform duties as may be required\n\nby the Commission. The first meeting of the Commission shall be\n\ncalled by the chair no later than sixty (60) days after the\n\neffective date of this act.\n\nF. No member of the Commission shall receive a salary for\n\nduties performed as a member of the Commission; however, members are\n\neligible to receive reimbursement for expenses and travel\n\nreimbursement as provided for in the State Travel Reimbursement Act.\n\nG. Members serving on the Commission shall be eligible to serve\n\non any other state board or commission if such member is otherwise\n\nqualified to hold such appointed office, notwithstanding the\n\nprovisions of Section 6 of Title 51 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nH.
