Stat. tit. 41, § 41-9","heading":"Service of notice - Termination of tenancy","body":"The notice to terminate the tenancy required in this chapter may\n\nbe served on the tenant, or, if he cannot be found, by delivering\n\nthe same to some person over the age of twelve (12) years, residing\n\non the premises, having first made known to such person the contents\n\nthereof; or, if service cannot be made by the use of reasonable\n\ndiligence on the tenant or on any person over the age of twelve (12)\n\nyears residing on the premises, the same may be served by posting\n\nsaid notice at some conspicuous place on the building on said\n\npremises and if there be no buildings on said premises then said\n\nnotice shall be posted at some conspicuous place on said premises\n\nand if said notice is posted, a copy of said notice shall be mailed\n\nto the tenant at his last-known address by registered mail and such\n\nnotice shall operate to terminate the tenancy at the end of the\n\nperiod after the date of such posting and mailing that it would have\n\nbeen terminated by personal service of such notice on the date of\n\nsuch posting and mailing; provided, that in no event shall such\n\nposting and mailing terminate any tenancy within a period of less\n\nthan ten (10) days from the date of such posting and mailing.","path":["OK Code","Title 41"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os41.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"60da239399b3b6929fe0458e1a1396f931926c5d2ee76cd30c95fbfc1ac48d3f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-41-41-8","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-42-42-1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
