Stat. tit. 42, § 42-98","heading":"Filing of statement of lien with county clerk - Innocent","body":"purchasers.\n\nA. 1. Except as otherwise provided by this chapter, any person\n\nentitled to a lien pursuant to this chapter shall within one hundred\n\ntwenty (120) days after last furnishing of labor, money, material or\n\nsupplies for the production of, altering or repairing of said\n\npersonal property, file in the office of the county clerk of the\n\ncounty in which the property is situated a statement in writing\n\nverified by oath, showing the amount of labor, money, material or\n\nsupplies furnished for the producing of, altering or repairing of\n\nsaid personal property, the name of the person for, and by whom\n\nlabor, money, material or supplies, was furnished.\n\n2. If the person entitled to such lien does not file such\n\nstatement within the time required by this chapter, such person\n\nshall be deemed to have waived his rights thereto.\n\n3. The lien provided for in this chapter shall not attach to\n\nany personal property after it has been purchased by an innocent\n\npurchaser for value, and has passed into his possession unless the\n\nlien shall have been filed with the county clerk of the county\n\nbefore the property was purchased by such purchaser, or he shall\n\nhave received written notice, from the party entitled to the lien,\n\nof his intention to file the same.\n\nB. Immediately upon the receipt of such statement, the county\n\nclerk shall enter a record of the same in a book kept for that\n\npurpose, to be called the Personal Property Lien Journal, which\n\nshall be ruled off into separate columns, with headings as follows:\n\n\"When filed\", \"Name of owner\", \"Name of claimant\", \"Amount claimed\",\n\nand \"Remarks\", and the clerk shall make the proper entry in each\n\ncolumn.","path":["OK Code","Title 42"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os42.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4745d593e7f51265f783816add9790aee0774d4d583d34384c9011da7d67fff3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-42-42-97","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-42-42-99"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
