Stat. tit. 43, § 43-109.1","heading":"Custody during parents' separation","body":"If the parents of a minor unmarried child are separated without\n\nbeing divorced, the judge of the district court, upon application of\n\neither parent, may issue any civil process necessary to inquire into\n\nthe custody of said minor unmarried child. The court may award the\n\ncustody of said child to either party or both, in accordance with\n\nthe best interests of the child, for such time and pursuant to such\n\nregulations as the case may require. The decision of the judge\n\nshall be guided by the rules prescribed in Section 2 of this act.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 4384.
