Stat. tit. 43, § 43-110.1","heading":"Shared parenting - Policy","body":"It is the policy of this state to assure that minor children\n\nhave frequent and continuing contact with parents who have shown the\n\nability to act in the best interests of their children and to\n\nencourage parents to share in the rights and responsibilities of\n\nrearing their children after the parents have separated or dissolved\n\ntheir marriage. The court may consider evidence of the ability of\n\nthe parents to cooperate on issues related to their minor children,\n\nas well as evidence of domestic violence, stalking, or harassment as\n\ndefined in Section 109 of this title. To effectuate this policy, if\n\nrequested by a parent, the court may provide substantially equal\n\naccess to the minor children to both parents at a temporary order or\n\nfinal hearing, unless the court finds that shared parenting would be\n\ndetrimental to the child.
