Stat. tit. 43, § 43-551-112","heading":"Cooperation between courts; preservation of records","body":"COOPERATION BETWEEN COURTS; PRESERVATION OF RECORDS\n\nA. A court of this state may request the appropriate court of\n\nanother state to:\n\n1. Hold an evidentiary hearing;\n\n2. Order a person to produce or give evidence pursuant to\n\nprocedures of that state;\n\n3. Order that an evaluation be made with respect to the custody\n\nof a child involved in a pending proceeding;\n\n4. Forward to the court of this state a certified copy of the\n\ntranscript of the record of the hearing, the evidence otherwise\n\npresented, and any evaluation prepared in compliance with the\n\nrequest; and\n\n5. Order a party to a child custody proceeding or any person\n\nhaving physical custody of the child to appear in the proceeding\n\nwith or without the child.\n\nB. Upon request of a court of another state, a court of this\n\nstate may hold a hearing or enter an order described in subsection A\n\nof this section.\n\nC. Travel and other necessary and reasonable expenses incurred\n\nunder subsections A and B of this section may be assessed against\n\nthe parties according to the laws of this state.\n\nD. A court of this state shall preserve the pleadings, orders,\n\ndecrees, records of hearings, evaluations, and other pertinent\n\nrecords with respect to a child custody proceeding until the child\n\nattains eighteen (18) years of age.
