A tribunal of this state may exercise jurisdiction to\n\nestablish a support order if the petition or comparable pleading is\n\nfiled after a pleading is filed in another state or a foreign\n\ncountry only if:\n\n1. The petition or comparable pleading in this state is filed\n\nbefore the expiration of the time allowed in the other state or the\n\nforeign country for filing a responsive pleading challenging the\n\nexercise of jurisdiction by the other state or the foreign country;\n\n2. The contesting party timely challenges the exercise of\n\njurisdiction in the other state or the foreign country; and\n\n3. If relevant, this state is the home state of the child.\n\nB. A tribunal of this state may not exercise jurisdiction to\n\nestablish a support order if the petition or comparable pleading is\n\nfiled before a petition or comparable pleading is filed in another\n\nstate or foreign country if:\n\n1. The petition or comparable pleading in the other state or a\n\nforeign country is filed before the expiration of the time allowed\n\nin this state for filing a responsive pleading challenging the\n\nexercise of jurisdiction by this state;\n\n2.
