A tribunal of this state that has issued a child support\n\norder consistent with the law of this state has and shall exercise\n\ncontinuing, exclusive jurisdiction to modify its child support order\n\nif the order is the controlling order and:\n\n1. At the time of the filing of a request for modification,\n\nthis state is the residence of the obligor, the individual obligee,\n\nor the child for whose benefit the support order is issued; or\n\n2. Even if this state is not the residence of the obligor, the\n\nindividual obligee, or the child for whose benefit the support order\n\nis issued, the parties consent in a record or in open court that the\n\ntribunal of this state may continue to exercise jurisdiction to\n\nmodify its order.\n\nB. A tribunal of this state that has issued a child support\n\norder consistent with the law of this state may not exercise\n\ncontinuing, exclusive jurisdiction to modify the order if:\n\n1. All of the parties who are individuals file consent in a\n\nrecord with the tribunal of this state that a tribunal of another\n\nstate that has jurisdiction over at least one of the parties who is\n\nan individual or that is located in the state of residence of the\n\nchild may modify the order and assume continuing, exclusive\n\njurisdiction; or\n\n2. Its order is not the controlling order.\n\nC. If a tribunal of another state has issued a child support\n\norder pursuant to the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act or a law\n\nsubstantially similar to the Act which modifies a child support\n\norder of a tribunal of this state, tribunals of this state shall\n\nrecognize the continuing, exclusive jurisdiction of the tribunal of\n\nthe other state.\n\nD. A tribunal of this state that lacks continuing, exclusive\n\njurisdiction to modify a child support order may serve as an\n\ninitiating tribunal to request a tribunal of another state to modify\n\na support order issued in that state.\n\nE.
