If a proceeding is brought pursuant to the Uniform\n\nInterstate Family Support Act and only one tribunal has issued a\n\nchild support order, the order of that tribunal controls and must be\n\nso recognized.\n\nB. If a proceeding is brought pursuant to the Uniform\n\nInterstate Family Support Act, and two or more child support orders\n\nhave been issued by tribunals of this state or another state or a\n\nforeign country with regard to the same obligor and same child, a\n\ntribunal of this state having personal jurisdiction over both the\n\nobligor and individual obligee shall apply the following rules and\n\nby order shall determine which order controls and must be\n\nrecognized:\n\n1. If only one of the tribunals would have continuing,\n\nexclusive jurisdiction pursuant to the Uniform Interstate Family\n\nSupport Act, the order of that tribunal control;\n\n2. If more than one of the tribunals would have continuing,\n\nexclusive jurisdiction under this act:\n\na. an order issued by a tribunal in the current home\n\nstate of the child controls, or\n\nb. if an order has not been issued in the current home\n\nstate of the child, the order most recently issued\n\ncontrols; and\n\n3. If none of the tribunals would have continuing, exclusive\n\njurisdiction pursuant to the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act,\n\nthe tribunal of this state shall issue a child support order, which\n\ncontrols.\n\nC. If two or more child support orders have been issued for the\n\nsame obligor and same child, upon request of a party who is an\n\nindividual or that is a support enforcement agency, a tribunal of\n\nthis state having personal jurisdiction over both the obligor and\n\nthe obligee who is an individual shall determine which order\n\ncontrols under subsection B of this section. The request may be\n\nfiled with a registration for enforcement or registration for\n\nmodification pursuant to Article 6 of this title, or may be filed as\n\na separate proceeding.\n\nD. A request to determine which is the controlling order must\n\nbe accompanied by a copy of every child support order in effect and\n\nthe applicable record of payments. The requesting party shall give\n\nnotice of the request to each party whose rights may be affected by\n\nthe determination.\n\nE. The tribunal that issued the controlling order under\n\nsubsection A, B, or C of this section has continuing jurisdiction to\n\nthe extent provided in Section 601-205 or 601-206 of this title.\n\nF. A tribunal of this state that determines by order which is\n\nthe controlling order under paragraph 1 or 2 of subsection B or\n\nsubsection C of this section, or that issues a new controlling order\n\nunder paragraph 3 of subsection B of this section, shall state in\n\nthat order:\n\n1. The basis upon which the tribunal made its determination;\n\n2. The amount of prospective support, if any; and\n\n3. The total amount of consolidated arrears and accrued\n\ninterest, if any, under all of the orders after all payments made\n\nare credited as provided by Section 601-209 of this title.\n\nG. Within thirty (30) days after issuance of an order\n\ndetermining which is the controlling order, the party obtaining the\n\norder shall file a certified copy of it in each tribunal that issued\n\nor registered an earlier order of child support. A party or support\n\nenforcement agency obtaining the order that fails to file a\n\ncertified copy is subject to appropriate sanctions by a tribunal in\n\nwhich the issue of failure to file arises. The failure to file does\n\nnot affect the validity or enforceability of the controlling order.\n\nH.
