Stat. tit. 43, § 43-601-701","heading":"Definitions","body":"In this article:\n\n1. \"Application\" means a request under the Convention by an\n\nobligee or obligor or on behalf of a child made through a central\n\nauthority for assistance from another central authority;\n\n2. \"Central authority\" means the entity designated by the\n\nUnited States or a foreign country described in paragraph d of\n\nsubsection 5 of Section 601-102 of this title to perform the\n\nfunctions specified in the Convention;\n\n3. \"Convention support order\" means a support order of a\n\ntribunal of a foreign country described in paragraph d of subsection\n\n5 of Section 601-102 of this title;\n\n4. \"Direct request\" means a petition filed by an individual in\n\na tribunal of this state in a proceeding involving an obligee,\n\nobligor, or child residing outside the United States;\n\n5. \"Foreign central authority\" means the entity designated by a\n\nforeign country described in paragraph d of subsection 5 of Section\n\n601-102 of this title to perform the functions specified in the\n\nConvention;\n\n6. \"Foreign support agreement\":\n\na. means an agreement for support in a record that:\n\n(1) is enforceable as a support order in the country\n\nof origin,\n\n(2) has been:\n\n(a) formally drawn up or registered as an\n\nauthentic instrument by a foreign tribunal,\n\nor\n\n(b) authenticated by or concluded, registered or\n\nfiled with a foreign tribunal,\n\n(3) may be reviewed and modified by a foreign\n\ntribunal, and\n\nb. includes a maintenance arrangement or authentic\n\ninstrument under the convention; and\n\n7. \"United States central authority\" means the Secretary of the\n\nUnited States Department of Health and Human Services.","path":["OK Code","Title 43"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os43.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fa6c31c78180ae0fef56bf3ed6659acc25d5ea50693965f49367b33ac10aa030","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-43-43-601-616","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-43-43-601-702"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
