Stat. tit. 43, § 43-601-708","heading":"Recognition and enforcement of registered convention","body":"support orders - Exceptions\n\nA. Except as otherwise provided in subsection B of this\n\nsection, a tribunal of this state shall recognize and enforce a\n\nregistered convention support order.\n\nB. The following grounds are the only grounds on which a\n\ntribunal of this state may refuse recognition and enforcement of a\n\nregistered convention support order:\n\n1. Recognition and enforcement of the order is manifestly\n\nincompatible with public policy, including the failure of the\n\nissuing tribunal to observe minimum standards of due process, which\n\ninclude notice and an opportunity to be heard;\n\n2. The issuing tribunal lacked personal jurisdiction consistent\n\nwith Section 601-201 of this title;\n\n3. The order is not enforceable in the issuing country;\n\n4. The order was obtained by fraud in connection with a matter\n\nof procedure;\n\n5. A record transmitted in accordance with Section 601-706 of\n\nthis title lacks authenticity or integrity;\n\n6. A proceeding between the same parties and having the same\n\npurpose is pending before a tribunal of this state and that\n\nproceeding was the first to be filed;\n\n7. The order is incompatible with a more recent support order\n\ninvolving the same parties and having the same purpose if the more\n\nrecent support order is entitled to recognition and enforcement\n\nunder the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act in this state;\n\n8. Payment, to the extent alleged arrears have been paid in\n\nwhole or in part;\n\n9. In a case in which the respondent neither appeared nor was\n\nrepresented in the proceeding in the issuing foreign country:\n\na. if the law of that country provides for prior notice\n\nof proceedings, the respondent did not have proper\n\nnotice of the proceedings and an opportunity to be\n\nheard, or\n\nb. if the law of that country does not provide for prior\n\nnotice of the proceedings, the respondent did not have\n\nproper notice of the order and an opportunity to be\n\nheard in a challenge or appeal on fact or law before a\n\ntribunal, or\n\n10. The order was made in violation of Section 601-711 of this\n\ntitle.\n\nC. If a tribunal of this state does not recognize a convention\n\nsupport order under paragraphs 2, 4 or 9 of subsection B of this\n\nsection:\n\n1. The tribunal may not dismiss the proceeding without allowing\n\na reasonable time for a party to request the establishment of a new\n\nconvention support order; and\n\n2.
