The person performing or solemnizing the marriage ceremony\n\nshall, immediately upon the completion of the ceremony, endorse upon\n\nthe license authorizing the marriage:\n\n1. His or her name and official or clerical designation;\n\n2. The court of which he or she is the judge, or the\n\ncongregation or body of which he or she is pastor, preacher,\n\nminister, priest, rabbi or dignitary; provided, that the authority\n\nto perform or solemnize marriages shall be coextensive with the\n\ncongregation or body of which he or she is pastor, preacher,\n\nminister, priest, rabbi or dignitary; provided further, that all\n\nmarriages solemnized among the society called Friends or Quakers,\n\nthe spiritual assembly of the Baha'is, or the Church of Jesus Christ\n\nof Latter Day Saints, in the form heretofore practiced and in use in\n\ntheir meetings shall be good and valid. One person chosen by such\n\nsociety, assembly, or church shall be responsible for completing the\n\nmarriage certificate pursuant to this section in the same manner as\n\na minister or other person authorized to perform marriages;\n\n3. The town or city and county where the court, congregation,\n\nbody, society, assembly, or church is located; and\n\n4. His or her signature along with his or her official or\n\nclerical designation.\n\nB. The witnesses to the ceremony shall endorse the marriage\n\ncertificate, attesting to their presence at the ceremony, with their\n\nnames and post office addresses.\n\nC. The persons who have been married in the ceremony shall\n\nendorse the marriage certificate with the names by which they are to\n\nbe known from the time of the marriage, as evidenced on the marriage\n\nlicense.\n\nD. The marriage license, along with the completed marriage\n\ncertificate shall be transmitted to the court clerk who issued the\n\nlicense and certificate for recording within the time period\n\nrequired in Section 20 of this title.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 3890.
