The Legislature recognizes that many citizens of this state,\n\nbecause of the infirmities of aging, incapacity, or other disability\n\nare unable to manage their own affairs or to protect themselves from\n\nexploitation, abuse, or neglect and are in need of protective\n\nservices.\n\nB. Services provided pursuant to the provisions of the\n\nProtective Services for Vulnerable Adults Act shall guarantee, to\n\nthe maximum degree of feasibility, the individual the same rights as\n\nother citizens, and at the same time protect the individual from\n\nexploitation, abuse, or neglect.\n\nC.
